Set in pleasant rural surroundings in the village of La Saunerie, near Champdeniers, the gîte is part of an old farmhouse that has been tastefully converted to comfortable accommodation. We settled here in 1994. |
| The gîte has a well equipped open plan kitchen/living room,
with French doors
which open onto the sunny terrace surrounded by attractive gardens.
Outside there is a picnic table that seats six. Close by, guests
will discover a shady boule court next to a small stream. There is
also a barbecue for guests who like to cook in the open air.
The kitchen area contains a fridge-freezer, gas cooker with oven, grill and a microwave cooker. In a separate cupboard there is a washing machine, hoover, ironing board and iron. The comfortable living room provides a sitting area and traditional woodburning stove providing heat in cold weather. All cutlery, glasses, plates, cooking utensils and tea towels are provided.There is a shower room with toilet and washbasin and constant hot water. The first bedroom has a double bed and large wardrobe. The double also has French windows that open onto the terrace. The second bedroom has bunk beds and two single beds. All the beds have duvets and English pillows. Bed linen and towels are provided and the beds will be made up before you arrive.The grounds contain secluded spots for sunbathing and areas for children to play. Three adult bikes and some children's bikes are available for use at no extra cost. |
